Entrepreneur Storytime: DeployHub

  • Hervé Wine Bar 139 West San Francisco Street Santa Fe, NM 87501 (map)

We’re gathering on a different day this month so that the KAESF and DeployHub can be a part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) and the plethora of Santa Fe-based events the City of Santa Fe’s Office of Economic Development (OED) has been organizing for November 12-18.

A kick-ass woman in tech, Tracy Ragan began her odyssey in the area of DevOps long before the term was coined. In the late 1980’s she consulted Wall Street firms on ways to improve the software build and deploy process through automation. In 1995, Tracy co-founded OpenMake Software, a private software company specializing in the automation of cross platform and accelerated software builds. In 2014, Tracy recognized a gap in open source tooling around Application Release Automation (ARA) for performing continuous deployments. This led to the formation of DeployHub, a product focused on bringing open source ARA to the agile project team. DeployHub OSS was launched as an open source solution in the spring of 2017. Tracy and her team followed up the open source offering with the creation of, a company that provides both support and professional upgrades to DeployHub OSS. She was recently recognized by the New Mexico Technology Council as a Women In Technology (WIT) Honoree for her work in DevOps and took 3rd place in ABQid’s October 2018 Balloon Pitch Contest. Pretty cool, huh?
And this month we’ll gather at Hervé Wine Bar, a completely renovated space that once held the Skylight nightclub. Opened in May 2018 and named in honor of their father, Hervé Lescombes, the location provides a unique way to celebrate and share their family legacy with folks like us. Their Winemaker and Executive Chef collaborated to create a special menu that features appetizers, salads, and desserts paired with their award-winning D.H. Lescombes New Mexico wines.
