Entrepreneur Story Time: Pushpin Collaborative

  • HoneyMoon Brewery 907 W Alameda St. Santa Fe, NM 87501 (map)

I first met Katie Keener, the owner of Pushpin Collaborative, when she and others hosted ArtWalk Santa Fe at Plaza Rosina back in September. I’d never been to this nook just off Cerrillos, so I was psyched to explore the rows of unique small businesses, including Katie’s colorful shop, which she opened this May at 1925 Rosina Street. Katie’s Pushpin Collaborative specializes in American made greeting cards, stationery and gifts, supporting 20+ local artists and small businesses across 22 states. I couldn’t help but to buy a few of those fun, festive cards and it was great to meet Katie in her element. When I saw the SF Reporter article titled “Unordinary Stationary” a few weeks later, I just loved learning about her commitment to creating community, collaborating and finding ways for her and other local business owners to “cross-pollinate and share.” I also loved learning that the former owners of the Marcy Street Card Shop, which closed last year, were happy to help and have Katie purchase their remaining inventory and fixtures. And did you know that Katie plans to feature 150+ designs by NM artists in her shop this holiday season? Start shopping, folks!

There’s so much more to Katie’s story and I can’t wait for you to join us to hear it at HoneyMoon Brewery on the 2nd! Owners Ayla and James, along with their trusty bartender+ Bill, have been working overtime to bring the booch back and keep it flowing. They’ve even added a patio area out front, so plan to bundle up and feel free to bring a blanket so you can be nice and cozy while you sip your kombucha and munch on some delicious NY or Detroit style pizza from Cosmic Pie Pizza, which Chris Van Dyne will be serving up out of Betterday next door til the pie runs out!

You all have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving holiday and we’ll see you at 6:30 PM on the 2nd, where you’ll have about a ½ hour to schmooze, grab a drink and order some food before we kick off Story Time around 7 PM. See you then!
