I don’t know about you, but I’ve been wanting to hear more of Joey and Hannah Padilla’s story since we visited The Alley for Parting Stone’s Story Time back in November 2019, just 2 months after The Alley opened. Fast forward 2 long years with a pandemic plopped in between, and I wanna hear even more from these kick-ass business owners and Santa Fe natives – not just how they got their start with Santa Fe Tails back in 2008, but also how they fared with both businesses during a couple of years that have been far from easy.

But what is easy is finding reasons to head The Alley, cause did you know that you can bowl free on your birthday? That they have Happy Hour specials Monday–Friday, 4–6pm? That Monday is Senior Discount Day, so anyone age 65+ bowls for $8/hour all day? That Tuesday is Locals Day, where you can bowl for $9 and get ½ off other games with your NM ID? That Wednesday is Teen Discount Day and the Pinball Wizards Meetup, Thursday is Mini Bowler Play Date Day, when kids 5 and under bowl 1 hour free with paid adult bowling, and from 10am-2pm on Sundays you can get $5 Mimosas or $7 House Bloody Marys? Them’s some fun deals for everyone!

And did you know that Hannah and Joey graduated from the San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers, known worldwide as the premier dog training school? Hannah even has a BS in Zoology from San Francisco State University and served as Director of Behavior & Training at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter. This amazing couple have given back to the community through their work specializing in animal behavior and dog socialization, as many dogs awaiting adoption from the animal shelter have been placed in the care of Santa Fe Tails to improve social skills and challenging behaviors to help increase the dogs’ chances of finding a forever home. This just gives me the feels.
